About District Bhadohi
Bhadohi is a district in eastern Uttar Pradesh, known across India as the “Carpet City” because it is a major hub for hand‑knotted carpets and dari weaving.
Location and geography
Bhadohi lies between Varanasi and Prayagraj in the Ganga plains of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
It is the smallest district of Uttar Pradesh by area and is bordered by Jaunpur (north), Varanasi (east), Mirzapur (south) and Prayagraj (west).
The main rivers are the Ganga, Varuna and Morva, which influence both agriculture and local culture.
